Who are we?
At A pie de calle, we began as a cultural association dedicated to audiovisual communication, based in Triana. In addition to offering courses, we organized photography exhibitions, audiovisual screenings, and other events related to photography, film, and the audiovisual world. Our space has hosted professionals who have taught a wide variety of courses, including Rafael Roa (editorial portraiture and nude photography), Mara León (conceptual photography), Sema D’Acosta (photography books), Eduardo D’Acosta (visual culture), Guillermo García (video editing with Premiere), José María Montero (science and art), José Bautista (multimedia production for photographers), and Pepe Usagre (nature photography), among others.
In March 2014, we left our studio and took to the streets. Since then, we haven’t had a fixed location and have organized our courses in various rented spaces. As our name suggests, we love the street, and sometimes we transform it into our own classroom, where practicality always takes precedence (as is the case with our photowalks).
